807 No one seems to know where the HD came from. I don't know why Nora's father has a different name. In his autobiography, Woody gives his grandparents' names as Lee Tanner and Mary. SHERMAN, Nora Belle * (I373)

808 Nora has two stones. One in Highland Cemetery says 1888-1929, the other, in IOOF Cemetery, says 22 Mar 1886 to 13 Jun 1930. None of her immediate family members are at IOOF but many of them are at Highland in Okemah. I believe the stone at IOOF is for someone else, even though it says 'Mother of Woody Guthrie'. SHERMAN, Nora Belle * (I373)

I've chosen to use McDaniel because that's what was used for the only two records I've found for the period he was living. McDaniel, Thomas H (I1334)
