Notes |
- His death certificate states that he had been living in Cedar Bayou for 15 months. Cedar Bayou is a suburb of Baytown and is not incorporated.
- I cannot read the doctor's writing on this certificate but I do see the word 'malnutrition'. I'm making an educated guess that he is the carrier of HD in this family.
- After looking at all the death certificates, I cannot say positively that this family was torn apart by Huntington's Disease. Marvin's death involved malnutrition at age 57, Wendell had a heart attack at age 64, Esther is listed as HD, Howell (33) had tabo-paresis - a symptom of syphilis which also causes involuntary movements, Weldon (45) had a neuro-degenerative disease, Ruby died of 'acute severe arthritis' at age 42, Russell (43) and Earl (30) both died of pneumonia. However, Marvin's brother, Eugene Alcorn's death certificate lists St Vitus Dance.
