  Burial was held Monday afternoon at the High Prairie cemetery for Mrs. T. F. Imel, 81 years of age, a former resident of Elmo, who died July 5 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Barker of Bolivar, Mo. She had been an invalid since 1934, when she suffered a fractured hip. She since had a paralytic stroke. Mrs. Imel, the former Miss Martha Jane Ernst, was born April 16, 1860, at North Henderson, Ill. She was married February 17, 1878, to Thomas Franklin Imel. They lived in Elmo eleven years and during that time were in the hotel business. After leaving the hotel they moved to a farm west of Elmo, where they resided eight years. After living nineteen years at Hale, Mo., they moved to Moberly and later went to make their home with their daughter, Mrs. Ray Barker at Bolivar. She is survived by seven children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband and three children preceded her in death.
