  Mrs. Mary Jane Griffiths, 85, 728 W. North Temple, died Wdnesday at 6:40 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment. Born in Wales, Feb. 20, 1860, a daughter of Charles and Hannah Williams, she had lived in Salt Lake City since 1902. She was a member of the LDS church and an active temple worker. She had been a member of the Seventeenth LDS ward Relief society 14 years, and was a member of the Thirty-fouth ward at the time of her death. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evan D. Thomas, Salt Lake City; two sons, Hyrum Griffiths, Camden, N.J., and Evan James Griffiths, Price; 43 granchildren an 50 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday noon at 124 rth East. Burial will be in Salt Lake City cemetery. Friends may call at place of service Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. -The Salt Lake Tribune March 22, 1945
