- Samuel M. Teague was born ca 1807 in Rowan County, North Carolina. He drowned on July 4, 1833 at the Narrows of Sugar Creek and his death was one of the first in Washington Township in Parke County, IN. On May 20, 1829 in Guilford County, NC he married Sarah Frazier, the daughter of John and Rebecca Frazier. Three years after the death of Samuel M. Teague, November 8, 1848, Sarah Frazier Teague married Jonathan Cooper.
